I spend a lot of my day looking at political satire from every conveivable source around the web, and of course the big story this year is the presidential election, and Tumblr has become my favourite place for finding the latest and greatest election humor. I just love all the funny blogs that keep popping up all the time. You might have already seen a couple of these lists from me: Funny Tumblrs About Mitt Romney and 5 Funny Tumblrs About Rick Santorum. This time I thought I’d broaden things out a bit for the best funny election blogs on Tumblr in general:
- Shit Republican Candidates Say: Funny meme pictures, or macros if you prefer, with ridiculous and amusing quotes from the republican candidates.
- The Political Freakshow: General political humor, but obviously focussed on the election at the moment.
- About This Much: Silly, Absurd, and highly amusing.
- I Hope Barack Obama: Perhaps the only positive blog I found amusing recently. Also see I Hope Rick Santorum for the other side of the whole ‘I hope _’ genre.
- Your Leaders Today: Putting words in the mouths of your politicians. Only in a funny way, not a ‘thats what all politicians do to all other politicians anyway’ kind of way.
- Conservative Media Analysis: Written by people who are not conservatives and probably haven’t analysed very much apart from what they could say to make you laugh.
- Mitt Romney Does Shakespeare: Romney takes revenge on behalf of all politicians for being quoted out of context, by quoting shakespeare in reference to various political stuff. This blog is probably better than my description made it sound.
